According to the central bank had issued "Notice on the gradual closure of the financial IC card downgraded transactions related matters" requirements, from next month, a chip and a magnetic stripe bank card will no longer provide magnetic stripe card services, unified into a chip card; and from next year, banks will continue to be suspended magnetic stripe cards. 

"Bank card chip safety coefficient is higher than that of other chips, so far, the domestic is not found in the trading situation chip card cloning phenomenon." Chinese UnionPay senior risk experts Wang Yu said, with the magnetic stripe card is different, the chip card information is dynamic, "chip is a small computer, and each time the checksum is different, little possibility of replication. "Whether to pay another depends on your card is what card." Citic bank customer servicer talk to the Beijing morning news reporter, if the replacement of ordinary card needs 20 yuan fee for card, gold card customers need 10 yuan, but the platinum card customers and above do not collect fee.

Data shows that there are nearly 3400000000 pieces of magnetic stripe card needs to replace the chip card on the market, each chip card costs about 10 yuan, the replacement cost tens of billions of dollars.
